Information The Youth's Companion was started in April of 1827 by Nathaniel Willis, Jr., a Congregationalist deacon, he believed that America's youth needed a journal of uplifting, moral stories which would prepare them for their adult lives. The Youth’s Companion lasted for a century and ceased printing in 1927.[2] |
